Ben says this technique is great for lighter winds because you can really whip yourself into the wave with some good speed as well as sending the kite in the right direction to go down the line and rip the wave up.

This documentary style feature film from BWS is completely different in terms of what they have produced in the past, although they scored some very memorable sessions during the filming for it, the vision of the film wasn't focused on the waves per say, but more the adventure of life on the road with your best Mates. Ben joins the Global Team alongside professional surfers; Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Julian Wilson, and the Hobgood brothers. The partnership will include the production of a signature FCS Ben Wilson fin designed specifically for wave kitesurfing.

Ben commented upon signing the agreement, “I am so stoked to be working with the leading fin company in the world. Kitesurfing is progressing at a monumental speed and it’s only a matter of time before surfers worldwide see the added benefits of using a kite in the surf when it’s all blown out. For me their is no better feeling than surfing in the morning and then when the wind comes up taking the same board and using it with the kite”.

The new FCS Ben Wilson signature fin will signify the introduction of FCS into the kitesurfing market, adding yet another dimension to the worlds most successful fin design and manufacturing company. Ben’s signature fin is scheduled for release in 2011.
